Definition of Ashta-anga-yoga, ashtanga-yoga is extracted from a Sanskrit Yoga Dictionary by Georg Feuerstein " Traditional Yoga Studies Interactive (TYSI) was launched by Georg Feuerstein, Ph.D., and Nimish Shah at the beginning of 2004 as an independent effort dedicated to promoting knowledge and understanding of the traditional teachings of Hindu, Buddhist, and Jaina Yoga. Traditional Yoga Studies Interactive is associated but not legally connected with Traditional Yoga Studies (TYS) , which is a company registered in Canada and directed by Brenda Schlitz. TYS’s work revolves around administering an 800-hour distance-learning course on Yoga, which was designed by Georg Feuerstein. TYSI, again, essentially operates the interactive website. The above two related but independent endeavors represent a continuation of Georg Feuerstein’s work with Yoga Research and Education Center, which he founded in 1996 as a nonprofit organization and served as its president and director until late 2003. The reason for his resignation was entirely personal, arising mainly from a desire to simplify his work and life.” Please visit http://www.yrec.info for more information. . .
