Feng Shui: Basic Guidelines For Well Being Feng Shui is a way of life - Though it is important that the position of your bed, location of the cooking range, etc. and clutter in the home are attended to, it is however, equally important that while you are putting your external world in order, you make corresponding changes on the ÔinsideÕ as well. Begin to identify the minor imbalances ÔwithinÕ that relate to your physical well-being. It is therefore, beneficial to have the larger view when dealing with any issue. Avoid getting caught up in the petty, nitty-gritty issues. There is always a ÔpossibilityÕ- It is important to learn how to be physically and emotionally flexible to be able to ÔcopeÕ. We inherently have a special strength which allows us to adapt to change. We are all sitting on a potential time bomb in terms of environmental disasters, economic decline, social and spiritual chaos, and disease. To survive we need to become flexible and adaptable. For the body, you must be in good shape, agile and swift, and for the mind and spirit you should be more open and willing to accept other peoplesÕ ideas and perspectives. Make a commitment Ð You must see and appreciate life within and around you. All phenomena are interconnected and it is important to sort out issues in life which will be reflected at different levels, including emerging health problems. A common cause for anxiety today stems from money issues - go ahead and place all the feng shui remedies for enhancing wealth, but at the same time look at the issue as a whole. Do you owe money to somebody ? This must be sorted out as well or else there will remain an incompletion or blockage in getting the desired results and experiencing abundance. It the same approach for health issues Ð is it a relationship or communication issue that causes you the stress at work ? Does this hinder your progress ? Quit Complaining Ð Go ahead and give vent to your anger or frustration - it is good for the system. However, do not be labelled as a Ôchronic complainerÕ. It is a clever and manipulative device to avoid responsibility for areas of your life that apparently are not working out. It is easy to have high expectations and expect others to provide the solutions. Life just does not work that way. Along with accepting changes in life, comes the responsibility of accepting the failures or success that come with it. ÔThe Receiving is in the givingÕ - Being focused on yourself prevents you from discharging some of your energy into the universe. There is then little room for inspiration or creativity and the result is stubborn illnesses or debilitating fatigue. The act of giving to others Ð be it time, ideas, love or material gifts Ð creates space for you receive something in return. There is abundance in the universe for all to draw upon. We just need to get connected and be able to draw what each one needs. The Universe takes care of our need and not our greed. . .
