Indigo Children: Indigo Children - Are They Nuts??  

NO!

What? You want more than that? Well, they aren't, but here's some reasons why you may think they are crazy, or the Indigo themselves might think he/she is because:

• they cry at the drop of a hat and are in other ways extremely sensitive
• OR
• they ignore it when someone else close to them is really sad
• OR
• they may hear voices and don't realize they're channeling
• OR
• they may see things that "aren't really there" like angels and other spirits
• OR
• they're really intelligent, but they hate school
• OR
• they won't follow directions at all!
• OR
• they don't get along with their age peers - they are outsiders except with other Indigos or perhaps with much older friends
• OR
• they refuse to do homework
• OR
• they insist on doing things their own way against all odds
• OR
• they may have psychic skills like knowing before something happens that it will (precognition) or the ability to communicate with spirits
• OR
• they may have a strong interest in spirituality and finding out "Why are we here?" very early
• OR
• they may tell YOU why we're all here

But again, I assure you, they are NOT NUTS!

They are Indigos. These are some of the more difficult personality characteristics that make them Indigos. They are very, very special people! They have chosen this time to come with these attributes in order to help give them the personality and character strengths they need in order to make the big changes in the world. It is not an easy path. They will need some support. They will need some encouragement and special training in their specific talents. Please don't make it any more difficult by telling them they're crazy, because they are not. That would only make them question themselves and put them further off the path they came to follow. As with all children, we must honor them and help them the best we can to find their way along the path.

As Anthony Gregorc, Mind Styles theorist, states so elegantly in his "Childwise" poster, "Children are not soul-less, unguided creatures made for adults to manipulate like chattel. They are spirited beings, complete at every given moment and age. They have differentiated minds, specialized abilites and unique gifts that give testimony to themselves and their Creator. Children look to us for guidance. And they see us as symbols of love and hate, truth and deceit, selflessness and selfishness, and good and evil.....Children are not our subordinates. They are our co-conspiriators - breathing the same pneuma as us and contributing to a world far beyond present comprehension.
