is a good thing I have often heard people express a desire to become more sensitive and
compassionate, while confessing that they probably loved themselves too much to
succeed in that ambition. In all the cases I have observed, the problem was
exactly the reverse. It is because we do not love ourselves enough that our
relationships become problematic. Compassion and sensitivity to others are
direct by-products of self-love.

| | | | Body Mind and Soul: The History Application of TaiTai Chi Chuan was
derived from Taoism. The most important practice of Taoism was concerned with
tranquility of mind and improvement of temperament. At the end of the Sung
Dynasty a Taoist by the name of Cheung San Fung, in order to find one suitable
martial art for the Taoist, often observed the habits of long- lived animals
such as turtles and cranes. After many years of study, he, at last, created Tai
Chi Chuan.

| | | | | Body Mind and Soul: On OwnershipIn today's modern, consumer driven society, we are
encouraged and persuaded constantly to 'want' and to 'own' things. We want more
and more and more. In fact the word 'ownership' has practically become
synonymous with material possession. The utter irony is that the things which
we try to own are the vary things which it is not possible for us to own at
all. As far as material possessions are concerned, we are merely custodians,
guardians of whatever passes into our sphere of control. This guardianship is
temporal and temporary. Our duty is to care for it, look after it as best we
can whilst we have the responsibility for it.

| | | | Body Mind and Soul: The Age Of AquariusThe Age Of Aquarius
Many astrologers herald
April of 1995 as the actual beginning of the "Age of Aquarius," for
that is when Uranus entered Aquarius, and of course Uranus rules the sign of
the water bearer. It's tricky to define and describe the general nature of
Aquarius and the energies of its counterpart Uranus, for by their natures, they
move beyond definition and transcend restrictions and expectations.

| | | | Body Mind and Soul: How We Get What We GetAt one level, we are nothing more than a bundle
of squiggly energy. Everything in our universe at its essence is comprised of
an electro-magnetic vibration: sky, tree, table, computer, moon and you.
Scientists will verify that we are vibrational creatures living in a
vibrational universe. As we become more aware of how we interact with and shape
the other vibrations around us, we will begin to see how we create the events
in our lives. I believe that understanding how to work with the vibrations that
make up our world is one of the major reasons we're here.

| | | | | Body Mind and Soul: Accept Your Good - About AcceptanceAcceptance
can be an emotionally loaded subject. Some people get upset because they think
that they are accepting of their good, but it isn't showing up in their lives.
They want increased prosperity, more health, better relationships, and say,
"I accept it, but why isn't it here?" Other people believe that
they'll be selfish if they open themselves up for Universal good. Somehow,
they're afraid they're taking it from others. Many blocks to a better life stem
from old feelings of guilt or unworthiness. We may not be aware of the
feelings, but we get to experience the results by not accepting all that the
Universe gives us.

| | | | | | Body Mind and Soul: The Three Selves, Qualities of HeartHuna does a great deal of work on developing
qualities of heart and character. Important goals are enthusiasm, saying yes to
life, courage and the ability to give and receive unconditional love. The huna
practitioner becomes more and more aware of the nurturing and loving aspects of
the Earth, and feels loved and supported by nature and connected to all of
life. He or she is also able to direct energy to assist the Earth in return for
that support.

| | | | Body Mind and Soul: A Newly Emerging, Ancient Healing ModalityColor
Energy Therapy
The
color therapist sees the universe as a hologram, as a multi-faceted gem, and
views the person he/she is working with in a "wholistic," holographic
way. The color therapist utilizes light energy that emanates from this Source
and is reflective of the full color spectrum. Color is frequency of light. Each
color hue and shade vibrates on a specific frequency. Certain rays of color can
be used for enlightenment, attunement for healing the body, mind, and the
emotions. Color therapy can align the spiritual essence of a being. Its
multi-level source of emanation makes it one of the most powerful methods of
healing.

| | | | Body Mind and Soul: Facing Change With True EquanimityAll religions and schools of thought have held
equanimity to be a great virtue, to be cultivated as a prerequisite to
attaining the status of a jivanmukta or realised soul.
The sage-king Bhartrihari defined the man of
equanimity: - Let those who are worldly-wise praise or condemn, let riches come
or go as they please, let death mow one down now itself, or let it come
centuries later Ñ the man of equanimity is not deterred from his determined and
steadfast march on the path of righteousnessÓ.

| | | | Body Mind and Soul: Introduction to HunaHuna is a powerful and transformational system
of practices, teachings, philosophies, energy work and more. The word huna
means (among other things) "secret," and may not have been used as
the name of this spiritual path until modern times. The word Kahuna can mean
keeper of the Secret, but is more often defined as expert and could refer to an
expert in any field.

| | | | Body Mind and Soul: Finding GodÓI knew I was being transformed
that morning to hear a new song, to listen to a new melody that could not be
heard with ears, but with the heart. Something about the air around me was
different than the air of the day before, as if the room itself had been
transported to a place in the heavens in a new world free from the limits of
our mortal minds. I was in a place where the soul was free to travel at will,
where thought was not bound with words or unknown feelings held captive by the
rigidity of a spoken language.Ó

Journaling For AwarenessWhen you write in a journal, you discover truths
about yourself that you might not ordinarily be able to see. You begin to
explore your fantasies, dreams, beliefs and values. You can face your fears.
Writing in a journal and knowing that your confidences will not be betrayed
will help you talk to yourself about your fears as you've never been able to
with another human.

| | | | Body Mind and Soul: Nature of the Human Spirit - LoveOur nature is to give and receive love. All
other requirements are not essential to the basic experience of giving and
receiving love. From this basic requirement or shall we say experience, come
different expressions of love. During our life experience we learn through
various methods and teachers how to express love in wide and varied ways. This
is where interpretation and distortion creeps in.

Serve, Love, Meditate, Realize - The Inner Teachings of Yoga The word "yoga" often brings to mind a classroom of students
attired in exercise clothing attempting to stretch their bodies into different
postures. A more traditional yoga class will even include instruction in
breathing techniques, concentration, meditation, and positive thinking. In the
media today, yoga is often associated with health benefits such as stress
reduction, lower blood pressure, and an overall decrease in illness and
hospitalization rates. This is the Western idea of yoga. If we look to the
Eastern approach, where yoga is a part of the great Hindu and Buddhist
traditions, we find that yoga is all of these things but much, much more as
well.

Sensitivity
Empathic
people do have observable traits that are easily identified. Interestingly, the
traits are a set of characteristics that have always had their own air of
mystery. I'm referring to a set of psychological traits that has never been
adequately explained before. These characteristics are commonly referred to as
emotional sensitivity.

| | | | | Body Mind and Soul: Beware the Minefield of
the MindSelfless action is the outward expression of selfless
love. When the heart is filled with love, it expresses itself in the form of
unselfish action. One is a deep inner feeling and the other its outward
manifestation.
Without deep, unconditional love, selfless actions
cannot be performed. In the initial stages of our awakening, the actions we
perform in the name of selflessness are not selfless, because the love we feel
for ourselves is present in everything we do and say.
