Chakra: Literally, the wheel of a wagon; it is a term used to represent the energetic centers of the body.  In Hindu Yoga there are seven such centers that store and release life force (prana): the base of the spine, the genitals, the naval, the heart, the middle of the forehead, and the top of the head.

CHAKRA COLORS –

1. Seven energy vortexes on the human body associate with a color.

• Crown - white.
• Forehead (3rd eye) - purple.
• Throat - blue.
• Chest - pink/green.
• Navel - yellow.
• Abdomen - orange.
• Groin - red.

Smaller vortexes are in the hands and feet.

lowest energy centre in the human body where the kundalini shakti (serpent power) resides - situated in the perineal floor in men and the cervix in women.

Kala-chakra (Sanskrit) Wheel of time; in Tibetan Dus-Kyi-Khorlo, part of the Kanjur, rewritten by Tsong-kha-pa (SD 1:52n, BCW 14). Also a synonym for yuga or cycle (FSO 164).

Chakra:

A center of energy located in the subtle body where the subtle nerve channels converge like the spokes of a wheel. Six major chakras lie within the central channel. When awakened, kundalini shakti flows upward from the base of the spine through these six centers to the seventh chakra, the sahasrara, at the crown of the head.

Sahasrara chakra:

The crown chakra; the "thousand-petaled lotus". When this chakra is pierced at the crown of the head, the individual self merges into the supreme Self.
