 | | | Child Development: Discover Yourself Through Children
Why have children? I often put this question to parents and I get varied answers: For the sheer joy of having them around, to ensure the continuity of the family tree, to produce heirs, for security in old age, and so on. Others say that children enrich their lives. But how? I've always wanted to hear more on this, but they usually stop short of giving a deeper explanation. In fact, very few parents have been able to give expression to the learning experience they undergo in the process of raising or interacting with children. Raising children or educating them is not just a one-sided affair where all learning / teaching flows from the parents or teachers to the child-students.

 | | | Child Development: Child Development and the Art of Parenting
We are the most complex and wonderful of God's creations. The human nervous system allows us to experience the richness of life. Our perceptions create reality. We become what we think. But the right environment is required to create the right perceptions. Hence bringing up a child is an art. It requires knowledge and forbearance, love and compassion. Merely thinking of it as a responsibility is insufficient.

 | | | Child Development: Indigo and Crystal ChildrenThe terms, "Indigo" and
"Crystal" were given to two generations of children, because they
most accurately describe their aura colors and energy patterns. Indigo Children
have a lot of indigo blue in their auras. This is the color of the "third
eye chakra," which is an energy center inside the head located between the
two eyebrows. This chakra regulates clairvoyance, or the ability to see energy,
visions, and spirits.
Many of the
Indigo Children are clairvoyant The Crystal Children have opalescent auras,
with beautiful multi-colors in pastel hues. This generation also shows a
fascination for crystals and rocks, as you'll read in this book.

 | | | Child Development: True Friends are God's Angels
In the alienated and fragmented world we live in today, the human heart cries out for friendship or affirmation from others. That is because we are meant to see in the human faces we encounter, the face of God. Tell someone that I am here, is the cry of the human heart. Fernando Silva, who runs a children's hospital in Managua, reports the incident of a lonely child in the hospital in search of a human hand to grasp. One Christmas eve, when he stayed in working late into the night amidst revelry, he heard footfalls behind him. On turning, he recognised the sick child who had no one in the world. Fernando drew close to the child and touched him lightly with his hand. The child whispered: "Please tell someone that I am here".

 | | | Child Development: The Root Or Base ChakraThe Root Or Base Chakra
The root chakra, or the centre at the end of
the spine by the loins, is the centre which radiates a white, divine light,
when seen from the highest spiritual level. This centre is the centre for the
material life, it is the centre that roots the subtle divine consciousness in
the material life. Consequently it is the basis for human existence in this
physical world, and if it is blocked, you will have a human being that feels
rootless in both his spiritual and his physical existence.

 | | | Child Development: Psychic Perception - An OverviewPsychics are not
dealing with the "physical" universe as governed by known laws
related to space and time, but are accessing non-physical information through non-physical
senses. From a quantum physical perspective, there are no hard boundaries or
limitations in the Universe, including those we generally perceive related to
space and time. Our thoughts or conscious awareness can transcend the
constructed "reality" of space/time in order to see into something at
a "distance," or see into the future.

 | | | Child Development: Find the Oneness Beyond Duality
It is very easy to advise others. Only the one who suffers knows the extent of the pain. At the same time there is no difference between one person'spain and another"s, whether that person is rich or poor. No philosophy, sermon or concept will help relieve that suffering immediately. It is useful, however, to remember that at the core of any pain-causing conflict there is duality. We are part of a cycle that contains both pain and pleasure, creating a split between mind and body, delaying the healing process. Duality is all-pervasive; it is present in everything around us. Even that oft-quoted line from Shakespeare reflects this: "To be or not to be".
