Games : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Games represent the perspective of life held by the dreamer
Games represent the perspective of life held by the dreamer.
Individual games such as solitaire, indicate the dreamer's tendency for self-direction where excelling or enjoyment is a significant motive. Interactive games, like chess, indicate the dreamer's tendency toward challenge where competition is a significant motive. In either case, the dream is highlighting the dreamer's mental dexterity.

Machine : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Dream: A phone or machine malfunctions
Dream: A phone or machine malfunctions
Description: You are trying to operate mechanical equipment when it malfunctions. Many of these dreams involve difficulty with a telephone: trouble dialing, getting disconnected or making a faulty connection. Computers lose their connection with the Internet, data gets deleted, a virus destroys your files and so forth. Other machines jam, break or sometimes become actively malevolent.
Frequency: Machine malfunction dreams are only moderately common. Some people have them often, others seldom. They usually arise when you feel anxious about making an emotional connection; sometimes they refer to mechanical difficulties with your body.
Usual meanings: You feel as though you can't seem to connect, can't reach him or her, that you keep losing touch. You can't reach someone on an emotional level, or feel that something in your body is not working properly.
Questions to ask yourself:
Unable to communicate variation:
Who are you trying to reach in your dream?
Who does this person or agency represent?
In what areas of your life are your efforts to connect with someone not working?
How can you improve your efforts to communicate with this person?
What aspect of your health concerns you at the moment?
Are you having difficulty communicating with someone?
Machine malfunctioning variation:
What kind of a machine are you trying to operate?
What is this type of machine used for? (define it, even if it doesn't exist in the waking world)
Precisely what goes wrong?
What situation in your waking life does this dream problem resemble?

Falling : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Falling or drowning
Falling or drowning
Falling is one of the most common nightmares among people of all ages, and may be a reflection of feeling insecure, helpless or of having no support or solid grounding. Some people may actually fall from their beds during this dream.
Dreaming about drowning is less frequent, and often occurs when a person feels overwhelmed.
Both scenarios involve life-or-death situations and can be traced to prehistoric origins. Garfield says that dreams of falling reflect a time when our ancestors took risks when climbing trees. Falling dreams of modern day often take place from high buildings, elevators and rooftops.
Likewise, dreams of drowning go to our inborn need to breathe for survival.
People often awake to "escape'' the danger in the dreams.
A person's age and medical circumstances can influence these dreams. Toddlers and young children, as well as older people, are prone to more falls in waking life. People with heart conditions that cause fluid buildup in the lungs or those with severe colds may dream of drowning.
Flip side: Flying, swimming or dancing joyfully
Have you had that feeling of zooming through the air, feeling free, unhindered?
Flying often becomes a person's favorite dream. These can inspire the dreamer, lifting him to spiritual heights or filling him with creative notions. Pleasurable swimming may mean freely exploring your depths; dreams of dance may be a metaphor for moving freely through your life.

Few dreams fall into this category, but when they do they are extremely significant, suggesting easier access to skills for coping with difficult life situations.

To dream of being in any disaster from public conveyance, you are in danger of losing property or of being maimed from some malarious disease.
For a young woman to dream of a disaster in which she is a participant, foretells that she will mourn the loss of her lover by death or desertion.
To dream of a disaster at sea, denotes unhappiness to sailors and loss of their gains. To others, it signifies loss by death; but if you dream that you are rescued, you will be placed in trying situations, but will come out unscathed.
To dream of a railway wreck in which you are not a participant, you will eventually be interested in some accident because of some relative or friend being hurt, or you will have trouble of a business character.
Chased : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Being chased or attacked
Being chased or attacked
More than 80 percent of people dream they're being pursued or attacked, although who or what is attacking or doing the pursing varies from place to place. These dreams are a natural response to life stress, Garfield says.
The origin of this dream dates back to an era when humans fought off beasts or other tribal members to survive. The "monsters" of today more often are emotional beasts, she says -- fear, anxiety, anger, hatred and envy.
Flip side: Being embraced or loved.
These dreams also have early biological roots. They're driven by our genes to mate and produce children and include the sex dreams. Both men and women, it's been documented in research, experience sexual arousal during REM sleep. These dreams can supply the desired missing elements in an unsatisfying marriage, or heighten during an intense love affair.

Another common dream is to be walking across glass/splinters etc. "Walking on egg-shells" is a phrase that is often used to imply that you are having to be very careful about what you do and say and this is taking a toll on your health. Injury to the feet may show that you need to be careful of the next step.
This is one dream symbol on which practically every source from Artemidorus on down agrees. It represents the dreamer's basic ambition, but the interpretation of flying (like a bird) is modified by the details of the flight and its conditions, so the surroundings, weather, etc., must be correlated with the action. As a general guide: If you successfully maintained your flight at a low to medium height, you can expect to achieve your goal without much difficulty. If you were trying (or straining) to reach a high altitude, the dream is telling you that your grasp is greater than your reach and you would be wise to alter your course.

Performance : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Dream: I fail a test or perform poorly
Dream: I fail a test or perform poorly
Description: You arrive late at the test room, after the test has begun, or you are unable to find the test room, or are handed a test for which you are completely unprepared or cannot finish in time. An alternate version would find you in a play, musical performance or sporting event in which you have forgotten your lines or music, are missing needed equipment, or simply don't know what to do.
Frequency: This is a fairly common nightmare, even for those long graduated from school. It typically occurs when you are feeling "tested" in waking life.
Usual meaning: You feel unprepared for something, that you will "never make the grade," or are playing the wrong part in your waking life.
Questions to ask yourself:
Where do you feel tested or judged now in your waking life?
Who is assessing you?
What can you do to better prepare?
How can you relax and handle things successfully?
If you are in the wrong place or don't know your lines in a performance, ask yourself:
What do you need to change in your waking behavior?
What do you need to learn in order to improve or change roles?
What are you missing to perform well?
Where do you feel deficient?
How can you restore your confidence in your ability?
An old house signifies a reunion or renewal of an old association. A new house predicts financial security. Building a house or seeing one under construction forecasts unexpected gain, possibly through a legacy; buying a house indicates a short but exciting love affair; selling a house augurs a release from pressing responsibilities. A dream which featured a house being demolished or being in an empty one suggests you are grieving over a recent loss, broken relationship, or missed opportunity; don't despair, time really DOES heal all things.

How hair appears in the dream indicates the quality of thoughts giving the dreamer insight into the way he/she thinks and what alterations can be made to enhance thinking. For instance, if hair is being cut, this will symbolize the dreamer's current tendency to reorganize thoughts.
