Kirlian Photography | A Wisdom Archive on Kirlian Photography | | Kirlian Photography Kirlian photography is a process that utilizes pulsed high voltage frequencies and electron cascades to take pictures of radiating energy fields that surrounds objects. At first believed to be found only in living material, these energy fields have been discovered to radiate from nearly everything around us, though living material seems to have larger, more defined fields. William A. Tiller, Ph.D., of Stanford University, states that every organism or substance radiates and absorbs energy via a unique wave field, which then exhibits certain geometrical frequency and radiation characteristics. Whether animate or inanimate, there is a measurable, extended force field that exists around all forms of matter. | |

| Archives on Kirlian Photography | | | | Kirlian Photography In the 1930's a Russian scientist, Semyon Kirlian, discovered a photographic phenomenon. While servicing a high voltage machine he was accidentally exposed to a harmless electron cascade which produced a visible aura around his hands which he later was able to capture on film. A Russian biophysicist theorized bio-plasma to explain the Kirlian effect and explained it as a stream of sub-atomic particles that move in and out of living tissue. Many theorized that this bio-plasma could reveal important information about life processes.
Kirlian photography, now more developed, is a process that utilizes pulsed high voltage frequencies and electron cascades to take pictures of radiating energy fields that surrounds objects. At first believed to be found only in living material, these energy fields have been discovered to radiate from nearly everything around us, though living material seems to have larger, more defined fields. William A. Alternative
Health Dictionary on Vibrational medicine vibrational medicine (energetic medicine, energetics medicine, energy medicine, subtle-energy medicine, vibrational healing, vibrational therapies): Healing philosophy whose main tenet is that humans are dynamic energy systems (body/mind/spirit complexes) and reflect evolutionary patterns of soul growth. Its principles include the following: (a) Health and illness originate in subtle energy systems. (b) These systems coordinate the life-force and the physical body. (c) Emotions, spirituality, and nutritional and environmental factors affect the subtle energy systems. Vibrational medicine embraces acupuncture, aromatherapy, Bach flower therapy, chakra rebalancing, channeling, color breathing, color therapy, crystal healing, absent healing, Electroacupuncture According to Voll (EAV), etheric touch, flower essence therapy, homeopathy, Kirlian photography, laserpuncture, the laying on of hands, meridian therapy, mesmerism, moxibustion, orthomolecular medicine, Past-life Regression, Polarity Therapy, psychic healing, psychic surgery, radionics, the Simonton method, sonopuncture, Toning, Transcendental Meditation, and Therapeutic Touch. The expressions energy healing, energy work, and energetic healing work appear synonymous with vibrational medicine. | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Subtle body - Perceiving the subtle bodyClairvoyants say that they can see the subtle bodies in the aura. There are several books (Barbara Brennan's Hands of Light being perhaps the most popular and influential) and websites which include paintings of subtle bodies, their colours and structure. And Kirlian and other forms of high voltage photography claim to be able to photograph the subtle body (or at least its densest member, the electromagnetic body, sometimes identified with the etheric), including what appear to be acupuncture meridians.
The existence of ...

 | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Chakra - IntroductionIn Hinduism and its spiritual systems of yoga and in some related eastern cultures, as well as in some segments of the New Age movement -- and to some degree the distinctly different New Thought movement -- a chakra is thought to be an energy node in the human body.
The word comes from the Sanskrit cakra चक्र meaning "wheel, circle", and sometimes also referring to the "wheel of life". The pronunciation of this word can be approximated in English by chuhkruh, with ch as in chart and both instances of a as in yoga (the commonly found pronunciatio ...

 | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Chakra - Origins and DevelopmentThe earliest known mention of chakras is found in the later Upanishads, including specifically the Brahma Upanishad and the Yogatattva Upanishad. These vedic models were adapted in Tibetan Buddhism as Vajrayana theory, and in the Tantric Shakta theory of chakras.
It is the shakta theory of 7 main chakras that most people in the West adhere to, either knowingly or unknowingly, largely thanks to a translation of two indian texts, the Sat-Cakra-Nirupana, and the Padaka-Pancaka, by Sir John Woodroffe, alias Arthur Av ...

 | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Chakra - Chakras and the endocrine systemParallels have often been drawn, by supporters of the existence of chakras, between the positions and functions of the chakras, and of the various organs of the endocrine system.
The highest crown chakra is said to be the chakra of consciousness, the master chakra that controls all the others. Its role would be very similar to that of the pituitary gland, which secretes hormones to control the rest of the endocrine system, and also connects to the central nervous system via the hypothalamus. The thalamus is thought ...

 | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Chakra - Various modelsChakrology is a neologism sometimes employed by Alternative Medicine practitioners or esoteric philosophers for the study of chakras. There are many different chakrologies, some of them based on ancient Indian Hindu Tantric esoteric traditions, New Age interpretations, or Western occult analyses, as well as ancient Greek and Christian references. Croatian esoteric philosopher and physicist Arvan Harvat notes that it would be very difficult to develop a unified coherent chakra science that would integrate all the elements of the various present chakrologies.

 | | | Kirlian Photography: Encyclopedia II - Chakra - Scientific basisThe idea of chakras as understood in Eastern philosophy does not exist in Western medical science. In Eastern thought, the chakras are thought to be levels of consciousness, and states of the soul, and 'proving' the existence of chakras is akin to 'proving' the existence of a soul. A mystic deals with these metaphysical concepts on the metaphysical plane, as a model for their own internal experience, and when talking about 'energy centres', they are generally talking about subtle, spiritual forces, which work on the psyche and spirit, not ab ...

OTHER RELEVANT RESOURCES | | | | | Aura and Auras Auras not only reflect our distinctive personalities but are also a barometer of energy fields within our body, warning us of impending trouble well in advance
Indian metaphysics describes the aura as an emanation that can only be felt in a state of tranquility. Ancient Egyptians and Greeks associated the halo with resurrection. They, along with Indians and Romans, used the halo in art to depict supernatural forces and mystical states.
The aura is a protective shield that keeps you healthy and joyful. However, stress and illness may adversely affect your aura. Certain diseases can even cause gaps in it. When something blocks the energy flow within the aura, the shield weakens, making you unhappy, depressed or sick. Read more here: » Aura and Auras |
