One feels the need for a strong and stable foundation that one can depend on when life's river takes unexpected turns. A simple formula is needed that can keep us grounded on the path and pointed in the right direction - that of flow, let go, forgiveness and happiness.

Every soul that is currently experiencing life on any level begins and ends as a whole. Our essence - the very core of our spiritual being - remains One with God. We always have been, and always will be, a part of Ôthe whole' that is the God- consciousness level.

Our soul essence, which began as whole, remains whole throughout the soul growth process, and will still be whole when the growth process has been completed and we no longer leave the whole to pursue our own life studies. It is not that we, as spiritual beings in physical form, must learn something new in order to become whole, regardless of what aspect of our growth we may be working on. It is not that we need to make a 360 degree change in direction from the way we are living our lives now.

They say that Life is only Existence visible. That birth and death are only constructs in the mind, two points in time, taken to be Reality by one ignorant of the true nature of the Self, the entity which expresses itself as Existence itself, the pure Consciousness.

"There is no such thing as death, it is only the body that dies. Can anyone ever say 'I am dead'? Who knows 'I am'?"

This knowledge-principle is the all-pervasive, it is ever-existent. It is the false identification with the body that is the cause of grief and sorrow.

A broken heart requires as much care as a broken bone or as any other physical ailment. However, with time and proper care, one can be confident that it will heal.

Why is staying positive so difficult?

I read, write and strive to be positive, but I often slip back to doubt and fear that seem to consume me. Maintaining positivity shouldn't be seen as a contest of your present will to change with the past.

Fundamental transformation comes through transcending positivity and negativity. The important thing is that you are pointed in the right direction and growth is occurring.

The Hebrew 'Kabbala' or 'Science of Prophets' is a book containing the ancient mysteries. The mystic diagrams in it have an esoteric meaning. The Solomon's Seal is one such mystic diagram. We sometimes fear rejection when we express our needs to others. However, we have the promise from God that, when we ask, our needs will be heard. We will not be rejected. No choice in life is without a cost. Each decision to choose something necessarily costs us the option of keeping something else. In most cases having the cake and eating it is just an illusion.

In many cases we choose the wrong option. Without the power of foresight choice is a gamble, and as with most gambles odds are theoretically even. Since human nature is to mourn losses far more than celebrate gains, end result of a sequence of choices is mostly dissatisfaction. Why must we choose? Why can't we accept contradictions in life? Choices appear to give us freedom; in reality they constrain us instead of liberating us.

Q: How can we control the thought process?

Sadhguru: "I want to control the thought," this itself is a thought. Once you get into this, trying to control the thought process, there is no end to it. It is an endless fight. One way is, the way of Isha Yoga; just let it be. Don't bother about it. Let it go on by itself. You be aware of it. Slowly it loses its momentum and it falls away. That's one way.

Another way is what we are doing now. You control your prana. Ultimately, whether it is your thought or your heart or the cellular activity, whatever it is that is happening in the body and within you is primarily supported by the prana.

If you control the prana, there is no more thought.

A miracle, metaphysically speaking, is never a mere coincidence - no matter how extraordinary or significant. If you miss a plane and the plane crashes, that is not a miracle unless God intervened in the natural course of events causing you to miss the flight!

A miracle is a supernaturally (divinely) caused event - an event (ordinarily) different from what would have occurred in the normal ('natural') course of events. It is a divine overriding of, or interference with, the natural order.

A miracle can be defined as an event contrary to, but not a violation of, a law of nature. If 'violation' is not being used in a technical sense, then a miracle can still be described as a violation of a law of nature - where 'violation' would mean something like "contrary to what could have happened had nature been the only force operative."

An event may be contrary to a law of nature without thereby invalidating it, if non-natural forces cause it. This follows from the fact that laws of nature do not describe, nor are they intended to describe, the logically possible. They only describe the physically possible.

In the West, there is a widespread fear of losing the ego or personality. Through meditation we find that we can expand the ego, not lose it. We must become large-hearted. We must take in more and more of our fellow beings and the rest of the world rather than identify with the individual, isolated self. We must think of ourselves as travellers temporarily passing through life in this world.

We must realise that we are only using this body, these experiences, these material objects temporarily on loan. They are not ours. We are borrowing them. Sooner or later we will leave them behind. There is nothing to fear; our purpose is not to possess these things but to use them in order to transcend them. This is the truth, which goes beyond the law. We must learn that our actions are not our personal possessions. We need not be attached to them.

Esoteric tenets of the established religions clearly state, among other things that "God is everywhere."

If we are to believe this statement, we then have to say, "Then God must also somehow be within that which is evil, including the Devil himself!"
