 | | | Vipassana Meditation: Spiritual Technique For Mind Repair - Vipassana
Vipassana is a self-observation technique taught by Gautama the Buddha. "Its origins were already lost in timeless antiquity", he had said. He rediscovered it in his prolonged search for a fundamental antidote to human misery. The Sakya crown prince who had already mastered every prevalent teaching in India of those times, realised that nothing, including systems of the famous Alara and Ramputta, touched deep-rooted impurities entrenched in his mind. Observing bodily sensations, he realised, led to hidden depths of the mind where our habit patterns are formed and multiplied.

 | | | Vipassana Meditation: God Is In The Gap Between BreathsBreathing: God Is In The Gap
Between Breaths
God is in the breath inside the
breath, said Kabir. He showed that anyone can become illumined from within.
Osho once explained a sutra from Kabir's song: "Student, tell me what
is God?" he asks. He provides the answer: "He is the
breath inside the breath."
God is your subjectivity; He is your innerness. Buddha
made it a great technique for meditation, watching the breath, because through
watching it you will come to know the breath inside the breath. 'Breath' means
life. In Sanskrit it is pran or life. In Hebrew,

 | | | Vipassana Meditation: The Divine Music Within UsDivine music, when you experience it,
brings with it intense and lasting bliss. How can one who has heard this divine
melody describe it to one who has not? Anyone who attempts to describe it would
have to use pale analogies. If we think of the most beautiful music we have
ever heard in this world, it still does not compare with the music known as the
Voice of God.
The divine music is playing within us all
the time. We dont hear it because no one has shown us the way to listen to this
inner music.

 | | | Vipassana Meditation: Encyclopedia II - Practice of vipassanāVipassana meditation is a very simple, logical technique which depends on direct experience, observation, rather than belief. It has three parts - adherence to a moral code (abstaining from killing, stealing, lying, sexual misconduct and intoxication), which is not an end in itself but a requirement for the second part, controlling the mind, development of concentration. With this concentrated mind, the third, main, part of the technique is detached observation of the reality of the mind and body from moment to moment. This practice both develops a deep, experiential understanding of reality and also brings to the surfa ...
