Yoga Archives Dictionary: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Eggs

Eggs

Eggs are symbolic of something new and fragile. They represent life and development in its earliest forms and, as such, the possibilities are limitless. At times, eggs can represent captivity or entrapment. Carl Jung said that eggs represent our captive souls. Therefore, the egg in your dream may very well represent you in the most profound sense. Are you trapped in a shell or did you break out of it and are now free to soar?

Aniruddha

A son of Pradyumna and grandson of Krishna. Aniruddha’s eternal consort, Usha, sequestered him in the palace of her father, Bana, where Aniruddha was captured and had to be rescued by Krishna, Balarama, and the Yadava army. He appears in Dvaraka and Mathura as the fourth of the original quadruple vyuha expansions of the Supreme Lord, and He again expands from Lord Narayana in Vaikuntha, in the second quadruple, as the ruler of intelligence.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Alternative Health Dictionary on Arhatic Yoga

Arhatic Yoga (Arhatic Yoga System): Syncretic form of yoga developed by Choa Kok Sui, an exponent of Kriyashakti, Pranic Healing, and pranic psychotherapy. Its design is to activate and align chakras, safely awaken the 'sacred fires' of the body, and increase longevity. Its theory posits golden energy, kundalini, and physical and spiritual bodies. The Center for Pranic Healing, in New York City, defines arhatic as a highly integrated human being equipped with very developed intuition, advanced mental powers, highly refined emotions and engaged in a great contribution to the Divine Plan.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Theosophy Dictionary on Abhyasa-yoga

Abhyasa-yoga (Sanskrit) (from abhi towards + the verbal root as to be, exist + yoga union from the verbal root yuj to join, yoke)

Sometimes erroneously abhyasana. Repeated practice and application of yoga, meditation, or recollection; the effort of the mind to attain an unmodified condition of perfect serenity and quiet. One of the eight disciplines or requirements of yoga: persistent concentration of attention. When accompanied with physical postures, it is a form of hatha yoga, and practiced without the spiritual training of raja yoga, it has its dangers. As a system of mental concentration directed to impersonal, altruistic ends, it is beneficial.

Krishna (BG 12:9-10) points out that abhyasa-yoga is not only useful for training in one life but, if performed for the sake of the Supreme, is likely to leave permanent helpful impulses in the soul which will aid it in future incarnations and lead it ultimately to union (yoga) with the divine.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Dream Interpretations Dictionary - Bed, beds

Dream Interpretation Bed, beds

The bed is a symbol of regeneration, love, death and birth. Seeing an empty bed means bad news or news about a death. Seeing yourself in bed: you need to take care of your health. If you sleep on a strange bed, it is a warning: don't be too trusting, be cautious with strangers or new friends. Seeing a soil on your bed means that you are surrounded by ill-natured people. If your own bed is in a mess, your hidden secrets are to be discovered and cause you embarrassment.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Dream Interpretations Dictionary - Eyes

Dream Interpretation Eyes

If you have a recurring dream about your eyes, it may suggest that you need an eye test. On the other hand, if you dream of being blind, it refers more likely to what you are unable to see or refuse to see. Dreaming of your eyes being injured or damaged suggests that someone is trying to take advantage of you in business. Wearing a blindfold in the dream alludes to the fact that you are closing your eyes to the truth of a real life situation.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Bag

Bag

This symbol’s significance depends greatly on the other symbols in the dream. If the bag is empty, it could signify financial trouble ahead, but this can be averted with a little caution. A full or heavy bag indicates financial success, and a large full bag implies the attainment of some of your more cherished dreams. A suitcase indicates travel ahead.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Dream Dictionary - Intercourse, Ses

Intercourse

The interpretation of this dream depends on the details. If you were personally involved and you enjoyed the experience, it is, obviously, an omen of happy adjustment to your circumstances. If your dream featured others having intercourse, the meaning relates to whether or not your reactions were unpleasant. If they were, it is likely you are repressing an emotional problem and some psychological counseling might prove beneficial; if they were not, contentment and success will soon be yours.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Cave

Cave

Caves are rich and thought-provoking dream symbols. At times, a woman with reproductive issues may have a cave dream, in which case it represents the womb. The cave, as the womb, can represent new life, creativity, warmth and safety. The cave can be a general symbol of a safe place, a sanctuary or a refuge. If you are experiencing much anxiety in daily life, in your dream state you may retreat to a warm cave where you cannot be disturbed by worldly demands. The cave could also represent the mysterious and unexplored parts of ourselves. It could be symbolic of the unconscious mind, which could be a pleasant or a frightening experience. Your personal associations and experiences with caves, as well as the details and the emotional content of this dream, need to be carefully considered before making an interpretation.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Bhakti Yoga Dictionary on Avidya

Avidya - ignorance, spiritual ignorance, illusion. Ignorance is of four kinds: to mistake that which is impermanent to be permanent, that which is full of misery to be blissful, that which is impure to be pure, and that which is not the self to be the self. Avidya is one of the five types of klesa, or miseries, destroyed by bhakti.

Yoga Archives Dictionary: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Map

Map

The interpretation depends on whether you are following a map to a particular destination and you feel good about it, or whether you are trying to follow a confusing chart. A confusing chart may indicate that you lack a clear sense of direction in your everyday life or are in the midst of changing long term plans. Following a good map in your dreams suggest that you are feeling confident in your current path and pursuits.
